I purchased a widescreen 16:9 tube Philips 30PW9110D HDTV in September 2006. I choose it partly because I could not justify plasma at the time and also because it had a headphone jack for audio output. I often watch tv with headphones as it is in the same room as my wife's tv. Today I added an amplified mixer as the headphone output is very low and I split the headphones often with my daughter.
